Views from the Real World: Working in a School

How does work in a Fourth Way school connect us to the Real World?

Can we find a more real world?

I first connected to the Fourth Way school at ‘Apollo’ twenty-two years ago. It was around this time that the teacher began to radiate his guidance widely again. We still work to explore the laws of the universe. We study archetypes known to all religions, and I came to deeply feel their unifying meanings. Over time, I overcame the sense of dogmatism that can accompany such studies of religion.

Working esoterically in this school, we verify our functions, our primary characteristics, the chemistry of our essence, and learn where our center of gravity stands. We photograph and suffer each other with endurance, prudence, and respect. We classify our actions into the subdivisions of the lower centers, and we regularly clean these lower parts from useless attachments and stereotypes.

Along with the daily requirements of life, we rediscover ancient civilizations and the classical arts. We observe, study, and verify the development of our steward and his prudence in restraining our lower self.

Using a scale of thirty beneficial ‘work I’s,’ we go towards presence. We actualize projects through intentionally breathing an octave of six intentional work I’s–with two breaths in presence.

Connecting the energy of school work to higher experiences

The fine energy of the school flows through the products of its students. This society is refined progressively, over time. It represents the village of my childhood dreams, promoting constantly an unshakeable practice of esoteric development.

Internally, we attract the energy of the fine hydrogens 12 and 6—to our self and to each other. We sense the interaction of the sun, the earth, and the planets upon us. Ultimately, we come to recognize the six processes that exist. The six processes, in nature, are both inside and outside of us. Our village evolves as a spiritual and practical organism, alive and evergreen, according to Influence C.

Down-to-earth perceptions from the real world come as we discover and refine our self. We enter higher states of consciousness. Gradually, we come to understand the shocks we have suffered. And to transform these shocks, which fall on both in personality and essence. This transformation attracts a flood of higher energy. This energy is high enough to unify our past, present and future. Time does not exist in this union, in which we re-member our connection with the uncreated eternal light.
