Connection, Meaning, and Freedom

When I become present to what exists in this moment, the connection is immediate and profound. I become aware of my own existence as well as the existence of what is in front of me – the visible and the invisible. This awareness of myself and of what surrounds me creates an interaction with reality that seems a perfectly coordinated dance and communion.

What Is Freedom?

What is freedom, for someone awakening? Is it an aspect of consciousness? Indeed, what is “freedom”? How do we understand this word? For a person who is awakening, external meanings of this word cease to exist. The focus becomes only its internal, spiritual meaning. For anyone not trying to awaken, the meaning of freedom connects with something material. […]

Freedom From Us

Freedom from ‘us’ is the freedom to truly be. Psychologically we are like a well-worn deck of cards. And some cards are more worn because we play them all the time. It’s a flat horizontal system. Over time, we study ourselves and learn our habits of mind, heart and body. This is like fanning out […]

The Flexibility Needed for Consciousness

What can we do in our inner work to achieve an open flexibility towards consciousness? It is true that… *..Developing sequentially our “being”… *..Watching the “I’s” springing from each part of our four lower energy centers…    *..Connecting our will to our “heart of hearts”… *..Eliminating any negativity from our “queens”, “kings” and “jacks”… *..Surpassing our inner “steward” and following our awaken soul’s […]

Time and Eternity – Taoist Texts

The way to experience eternity is to change one’s awareness from the passing of time, or from having no awareness of time at all, to awareness of the moment. Because one soon forgets this kind of awareness and is pulled back into identification, esoteric traditions use a method to enable one to keep one’s focus on the present moment.

The following quotations on time and eternity are from Fourth Way authors and other eminent writers. “Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes its place, and this too will be swept away.”- Marcus […]

Time, Eternity, and the Sixth Dimension

The fifth dimension is an endless line or loop of time, and the sixth a cube or sphere of all moments. This sixth dimension contains all choices, spreading out and infinitely repeating in eternity. This may be the true meaning of free will. All that we can conceive and do is contained in the sixth dimension. Any choice we make is valid, and any choice we did not make, any line we did not take, exists also. Extending into infinity.

Recurrence, Higher Dimensions, and Time Travel

If reincarnation and recurrence exist, which seems likely to me, then we will be able to travel to the future and the past. Only first we have to do the work of the moment; we have to be present and use our attention and focus to fashion a lighter and more durable vehicle.

Really, we are all time travelers, and our physical bodies are the time machines that we so badly want to invent.
